Local MPPs want more action on jobs, economy

The two area Progressive Conservative MPPs don’t feel much optimism from the first throne speech delivered by Ontario’s new Premier Kathleen Wynne, but a local politician heard some positive news.
Chatham-Kent Essex MPP Rick Nicholls told The Chatham Daily News: “As a (Tory) caucus, we found the speech to be very condescending.”
He added it contained a lot of “fluff” and “platitudes.”
Nicholls said the Tories were hoping to see a plan that would create more jobs.
“What we want is a better Ontario,” he said. “We’re on the wrong track.”
