A night at the track

The horse racing industry is alive and kicking in Southwestern Ontario and nowhere was that more evident than last Friday night at the Leamington Fair.

A strong crowd filled the grandstand to watch ten exciting races take place on what is generally considered the top half-mile track in the province.

Local politicians were on hand, from Leamington Mayor John Paterson to Taras Natyshak and Rick Nicholls, to support the harness industry.

Dwight Duncan, who had been invited by Ag Society president Tammy Wiper, declined to attend or send a representative.
